Approach
&
Program Goals
Our approach will be one in which we listen to those people who are living in poverty and feeling its effects.   We ask vital questions as to
what they feel may be effecting them.  We look at each community in terms of what it may or may not provide for its poor.  We ask the
tough questions of community leaders to gauge if they are ready to implement the necessary change.  We then use the power, synergy
and resources of community partnership to set a course to lift those communities out of poverty on a long-term basis.

Results & Goals
The organization goals for this program are as follows:
1)        Set up a Community Council in each subject community
2)        Recruit vital Community Partners
3)        Set a common Program Vision (What makes for a sustainable community and what can Community Partners offer?)
4)        Analyze the current economic condition in each community
5)        Produce a set a best practices that will work in conjunction with the model program that will provide for long-term economic
           development
6)        Implement the program
7)        Evaluate the program, note and make changes
8)        Document the programs overall results and make it available on a national level

Our adaptable exemplary program will address the following:

1)        Low income people become more self sufficient through changes in employment.  Families will begin to earn livable wages.

2)        Improving the conditions in which low incomes people live. Do families have access to safe affordable housing and affordable
health care?  Address the issues of childcare, better forms of transportation and accessible or increased educational and
            training placement opportunities.

3)        Low income people own a stake in their community.  This will be accomplished by the creation of community council and the
           acquisition of community volunteers.

4)        Partnerships among supporters and providers of services to low income people are achieved.    Establish formal arrangements;
obtain financial agreements, alliances and working relationships through community partners.

5)        Low income people, especially individuals with special needs improve through situations by strengthening family and other
support services.  Example of these services would include low cost companion services for seniors, emergency food and shelter
            programs and legal assistance.
